Rebecca’s litigation practice focuses on trusts and estates, domestic relations, and business disputes, including construction, contracts and real estate matters. While her primary goal is to settle disputes through calculated negotiation, Rebecca is a savvy litigator who is well-versed in courtroom advocacy.
Although early in her career, Rebecca is already a seasoned appellate advocate, experienced in state, federal and administrative appeals. As a Third-Year Student Attorney, she authored ten appellate briefs on issues ranging from child custody to corporate malfeasance, in some cases prevailing on brief alone.
Rebecca graduated from the University of Redlands in 2000, where she was a Division III National Scholar Athlete in track, cross country and tennis. She earned her juris doctorate in 2007 from American University’s Washington College of Law. During law school, she interned for the Senior Judges of the District of Columbia Superior Court, was a law clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, Sex Offense and Domestic Violence Division, and summered with Finkelstein Thompson, LLP, a plaintiff’s class action firm. Throughout this time, Rebecca also clerked for BKB, where she assisted the firm’s attorneys in their litigation and appellate practices.
Prior to joining BKB as a full-time attorney, Rebecca served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert W. Wooldridge, Jr. of the Fairfax County Circuit Court.
Rebecca lives with her fiancé, Ben, in the shadow of the United States Supreme Court on Capitol Hill.
